well, it's been a pretty bad first half of the year i must say. and in totality, it has been a bad year. well, i dont mean to say that there has been nothing good that happened. but it was more of a bad year than good. at least for me, and for some friends around me. its okay, 2010 will be better. im sure it will :D

attended the last service of the year today. yep, we do not have to thank God only for all the good things. but we must thank him for everything, the good and the bad, as it is the character-moulding process that matters :) :)
i am thankful for the bittersweet experiences of 2009.
i'm stronger now, much stronger, to face 2010 :)

anyhow! drove out today for dinner again.
and again im reminded of the fact that im a direction noob.
i used to have a problem with finding my way out of dhoby mrt..
i used to have a problem with knowing how to walk to school of economics or school of information systems..
i used to not know which bus can lead me to my destination
i used to not know which mrt line i should take and whether i must go to another level to take another train instead of the one directly across.
and many many problems with locating my directions.
no, i will not succumb to my ignorance of directions but i will conquer.
but to conquer, i need TIME.

anyway, it was a very very interesting trip! haha.
minus the long travelling hours from place to place.. i shall share some interesting excerpts of my very lovely trip!
on the first day:
had to sit a 5 hr plane to shanghai.. then to jeju island. and when we reached the airport. OMG SO EXCITED TO SEE SNOW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE!!! it was falling like raindrops... so prettty! i was filled with happiness upon seeing those white flakes. (: (: ANYHOW. then we met our tour guide tony and had ginseng chicken for lunch. omg the food there is so bland! cannot take it. felt like we were eating plain boiled chicken -_- and we were warned the next few days. nothing fried, and bland food. alot of kimchi! hee. the first day was more of getting used to the cold weather. the winds were really strong and there was snow.. i think it was below 0 degrees.. and we were freeeezzzzing! then short shopping at this yongdong underground shopping mall.

second day:
climbed up the sunrise peak! omg. strong winds didnt help the climbing up of the steep slope. lol older sis and mom gave up. only suzanne and i went up till almost the top. mesmerizing scenery! breathtaking. the tedious climb up was so worth it! :D then had the opportunity to feed animals like the horse, rabbit and black piglets! THE BLACK PIGLETS ARE SO CUTE! haha and its nice getting up close with these animals.and on the way we were having snowball fights! HAHA. it was really fun!! went to this folk village. a scene where dachangjin was filmed. those really old bundhouses. so pretty, mongolian style! :) TEDDY BEAR MUSEUM WAS NEXT OHMEOHMY. i love those teddy bears! so pretty! they were all dressed up to commemorate some actor/noble person. the most interesting bears were the GOONG BEARS(princess hours)so pretty! and the most expensive louis vuitton bear, the bear decorated with gold and the tiniest bear in the world! had to use a magnifying glass to see carefully. hehe.

third day:
we had to sit a ferry to kwangju. some place i dontknow where. but got delayed by the bad weather ): so we had to stay in jeju island. ended up going for a special performance. all the crazy stunts.. and then green tea museum! haha interesting. and the ferry was kinda terrible. cos the movement was pretty bad. like the swaying of the ferry although it was HUGE. lol! almost had motion sickness.. luckily we ended up playing cards and chatting! hee.

fourth day:
had to sit this train for 2.5 hrs to asan station. we had sushi for breakfast! oh so yummy! i loved it. and then learn how to make kimchi! HEE, and had the oppt to try on the hanbok! YAYE. and we went to this this yeoju premium outlet. they had ALL the branded stuff there. a lot cheaper. but no thanks, i dont exactly go for much branded stuff. so it was quite boring. lol. after that was everland theme park! WOOOOOHOO. nice stuff! it was like in a fairytale. so pretty! but we only had time to take the merry go round and bumper cars. cos didnt dare to sit those thrilling rides. CAN DIE ONE. hahaa.

fifth day:
SKIINGG!!! omg haha i think i picked it up quite fast! YAYE, hee. it was very fun! didnt fall but crashed into the net like twice. only when i went to the higher end i tumbled down after failing to halt. LOL. but falling down was fun. you kinda get covered in snow and yeah. it wasnt painful at all! :) but the ski equipments were HEAVY. haha but surprisingly i dindt have the same fear coming down the slope as when i tried the round tyre thingy in snow city in singapore. hee. then went to the hot spring + sauna place. CULTURE SHOCK I TELL YOU. the shower area. you had to strip totally to bathe -_- EWWWW! omg and the korean girls were all fine with it YUCKS! so we just went for sauna and decided not to bathe HAHA. disgusting man, seriously couldnt get used to it. and then it was SHOPPING TIME AT MYEONG DONG! the shopping there was the best! :) :)

sixth day:
the face shop was the most memorable! lots and lots of cosmetics! :D
sinchon ladies street was awesome shopping as well! :D hahaha and then dongdaemun market. hmm, we didnt have enough time to cover all the malls in dongdaemun. the stuff there not as nice as myeong dong leh. and more expensive also. hmm!
last day:
went to feed seagulls! :D hahaha, it was quite interesing! cos they are pretty smart creatures :)

and then had to take a flight back to shanghai first... and we spent ard 6 hrs in shanghai. went to tong ren tang again. the place where we were at last year when we went to shanghai. where we had foot massage! :D haha. food was provided and i was reminded of the round tables... 10 people in one table, and the fake beer + sprite provided only. hahah. brought back alot of memories seriously. then had a short sightseeing tour when the bus drove around... shanghai has more expressways and stuff now. yep! but its still as beautiful as it was last year (:

oh oh and we went to the casino! :D but i forgot which day was it in korea. hahah for the first time im officially old enough to enter a casino. then had to play DA XIAO (big small) to claim our free gift. hee hee it was pretty fun! the atmostphhere was nice but SMELLY! smokers everywhere. an eye opener! (: we won 5,000 won! HAHA. cheap thrill.

then back to singpore.reality hits.
hhaa, anyways, it was a very interesting trip! made more friends and bought quite a bit of stuff there :D
i love snow.

lunch at manhattan fish market hehehe so yummy. both of them ordered the seafood platter thingy. IT WAS HUGE. and they couldnt finish but forced it down anyways. lol.
luckily i stuck to my usual fish & chips :)
marble slab cheesecake ice cream is love! yaye.so happy got to try it once more.
IM ANGRY THEY DIDNT REPLY MY EMAIL. ZZZZ. i should call them up someday LOL. just to complain. HAHA.

anyhow. managed to catch up a lot with both of them.
such an awesome feeling, really :)
so glad i got to meet up with many many people this holiday.
YAYE.
when i return, i still have so many people to meet! hahaha.

flight later tonight, im so excited!
transit in shanghai. HAHA. the sad part is that we'll be in shanghai for a few hrs but i dont think we can get out of the airport cos whereevr we can go is just too far. moreover its still too early in the morning.
anyhow, wah. thinking back at this time last year i was in shanghai! :D
lol.weird.
we're gonna have dinner/breakfast on the plane later at 1am.

omg, WE LOVE THE JAPANESE FOOD IN ION ORCHARD. okay, i cant really remember the name of the restaurant. but its awesomeness!
sukiyaki nabe is yummy. (HAHAHA, the name sounds funny. but the food is goood!)
then took pictures at the lovely christmas tree once again LOL.

had dinner with samfoo shane ryan today :D
samfoo was the earliest. followed by ryan. then we played BLUFF and BIG TWO. hee. it was fun! i got the hang of playing BIGTWO! yaye! i managed to win a few times. hehe.FINALLY.
shane ah. SO LATE! haha! well at least he managed to come at 9pm. HAHA. we were super hungry! ;/
but we had yummy nepalese food. i brought them to a place nearby my house.
they said the food was awesomeness! :D yaye. hee hee.

hahaha, it was the ktv place at chinatown. well, if you ask me now i probably wouldn't know how to take you there. but it's called the ten-dollar ktv place. free flow of drinks! and the song selections were alright.
haha, at least today im pretty convinced i can't really uh. sing. lol. WELL its okay! at least no one complained hahahaha.
then we sang till 7plus and went for dinner around the area. the food was not bad. jianhui came to join us. after that we didn't know what to do! haha, they wanted to go swensens but well, no one wanted to eat ice cream.
so we headed down to orchard to take pictures! hee hee. quite cool.

i love ion orchard. i mean, the aesthetic portion.
THE CHRISTMAS TREE IS SO PRETTY OMG.
you can actually ENTER the christmas tree..gosh, it was. mesmerizing.. ive never felt so much in awe for such a long time.. it was awesome. really took my breath away.. feels like you're in heaven! i highly recommend those who havent been there to GO. :D

after that it was getting a little late so they chilled at coffee bean and i made my way home. haha, this is the kind of life yo. relaxing, and fun. :D
the next outing is prolly LAN. L4D2! hee hee. the guys were shocked i said i wanna play. HAHA. well i can't really play but i enjoy it!
i still remember the last i played with my bondue group. i was like eh, why am i stuck i cant move!! help help. hhaahah then my friends were like: sue, you're behind the wall.

its fun cos we can shoot zombies. and we can obtain ammunition and feel the eggcitement of working as a team. :)

haha, the weird part is that the storyline is so expected. predictable. but somehow there's this strange attraction to watch this drama.

omg shane was suggesting we watch a horror movie at my place for our gathering. HAHAH. i think i will die.
just last night at 4am. i couldnt sleep LAH. thoughts were running wild abt the horror stuff zzzz.

i think i'm pretty successful in my gymming plans.
every other day i am either swimming or gymming (running i mean) or swim + gym.

not so exciting cos it wasnt as good as we expected it to be lol.

haha tried POPEYES chicken for once today,
okay the only thing that i was satisfied with was that i got to eat fried chicken and not feel that guilty about it. LOL, cos i havent tried it before! SO YES. thats a good enough reason.
anyway we went to shop ard a bit and watched a movie. HAHA. i bought two tank tops from cotton on -_- zzzz i think im an impulse buyer. omg someone save me.
and i realised girls ah. can have like ALOT to talk about when it comes to shopping. lol pauljean and i were like chatting non stop about the clothes, the shoes, and everything and anything omg. lovely!
then had dinner with them too! QIU LIAN BAN MIAN ROCKS :) i love it! super yummy. hahaha.
the nicest thing was that we chatted till like 9.30pm.. then parents came to get me. we were like having HTHT. somewhat! i liked the fact that we were comfortable talking nonsense. hahaha. and sharing our views on various stuff :)
